Dr. Dev’s interest in dentistry was stimulated at a young age by his sister who is a dentist.
Shadowing at her office allowed me to observe the dynamic duo of art and science in dentistry.
Originally from Sacramento, California, Dr. Dev moved to Southern California to pursue the DDS program at the prestigious Loma Linda University.
Dr. Dev is especially skilled in Implant, root canal treatments, and the installation and repair of fixed dental appliances, such as crowns and bridges. His preferred use of digital technology for the preparation and installation of dental prosthetics helps him create comfortable and fully functional restorations.
Dr. Dev continually studies the publications of the dental field to improve his skills and techniques in dentistry. Likewise, he has contributed to reports for scientific journals, demonstrating his expertise in dental research. Always seeking to grow in his abilities and skills, he is regularly involved with various continuing education programs.

I met with Dr. Dev for a second opinion, after a fall for cracked teeth. The technology in this office is unlike any I’ve experienced! The presentation of my x-rays on the huge screen, along with Dr. Dev’s calm, meticulous way of explaining things, put me at complete ease. I was given scenarios and explanations that when I walked out, I felt so reassured by this totally trustworthy dentist! I did not feel any kind of upsell, only care and concern, and an honest professional opinion. He asked me questions, listened, and I felt heard. The office was so clean and fresh; the staff was professional, and so so nice! The cutest beverage fridge for patients is in the lobby with offerings of a coffee bar set up as well. Just a nice place to be-made you want to hang around a bit, so nice and welcoming. (yes, I just said that about a dentist office! )I wish I lived closer as this office would be my go-to of choice for quality, caring dentistry .
I had a front tooth root canal with a crown done here. Dr. Dev did a fantastic job. The color, shape, and overall experience was excellent. I highly recommend this dentist’s office & friendly team.
Above and beyond experience from the moment they answered my phone call this morning! I called because of a toothache and they were able to squeeze me in that same day. The office staff explained how everything would work as far as costs/insurance in detail and provided me a handout prior to going back. Dr. Dev is very personable and kind and performed a very detailed exam of my teeth and specifically where I was having pain, and explained all of his findings in a way that I could understand. Laura, the hygienist, performed my cleaning and was also very kind and personable. She answered all my questions and spent a lot of time educating me on ways to take better care of my oral health. Really this was an all around exceptional dental experience where I truly felt cared for not at all like I was just a number. I would highly recommend them to anyone in Southern California with dental needs!
It’s been awhile since I stepped foot in a dentist. During my first visit, I expressed my nervousness, prior experience, and concerns I had about my dental health with Dr. Dev. This past week, he and his team conducted a successful, efficient, and painless root canal! I am so happy to have my dental hygiene in their hands and feel at peace with going to dentist again. Great dentist, hygienists, and office staff. I've been very happy with Tahquitz Dental for years. Dr Dev has really exceeded my expectations by calling to check on my welfare over the weekend after I had an extraction with surgery on a Thursday. I've never had a dental office checkup on me, let alone the dentist himself. I'm very happy with Tahquitz Dental.
From the moment you walk into this office you immediately recognize that this dental office is different!! You are greeted with smiles from everyone you encounter. The xray person Johnathan was excellent, and really made up for a terrible experience I had last year at another office. Dev came in introduced himself,asked about any concerns I had,and answered all of my concerns. The main reason I chose this office was because of the many reviews that I had read online. I hope that in some small way this review would encourage others who are considering the choices they are faced with in making this important decision!! The staff at this office got it right!! First of off I am phobic over dental work and finally got a dentist!!! Horrified and shaking I walked in. Without specifics , let me say that every one in that office is super nice. Dr Dev——you’ve given me a new life. (He’s incredibly gentle and kind and works quickly). I’m a proud dental patient definitely in the right practice.

They were also accommodating with scheduling when I HAD to see the Dr. Dr. Dev, Laura, and the rest of the staff actually make it pleasant to go to the dentist! I recommended Tahquitz Dental Group to a friend recently and he is also very happy with them.
They were fast, respectful, and very alert of my needs. Dr dev and the Assistant Lauren were Allstars! I've had my fair share of bad experiences, but this place deserves the praise and more!

I have always had a fear of the dentist ever since I was a little kid. I was sort of not handled very well at a very young age. I suppose we now refer to it as PTSD right? Anyway, I went for a routine tooth cleaning at another dental office. My regular dentist I have been seeing for a number of years was no longer there. I won't go into who it was I went to, but it brought back that PTSD real fast. I was looking around on Yelp and other sites for dental care. I came across Taquitz Dental Group. The reviews were amazing. The thing that caught my eye the most was the fact that they specialized in chickens like me who don't want to go to a dental office. I ended up having a chipped molar which required a crown. When I went to the office to have the crown started, I was amazed at the attention and level of care. From the second I walked in that office door. The people smile and they seem genuinely happy and they care about you. That was a good start. When I got back into the exam room and they started taking my blood pressure, my blood pressure was way too high and it was off the charts. The doctor told me he couldn't perform the procedure and recommended that I go see my doctor which I did. I am now on blood pressure medication. It's a good thing. I went back to the dental office the following week. And Dr. Dev and his staff were astounding. They acknowledged my fear and help me get right through it. I honestly did not feel a single thing! The doctor gave me clues that it was only going to be another couple minutes more. That kind of information helps a patient. I think when they feel it's never going to stop. I could not give this organization a higher rating because it doesn't allow 10 stars! If you are looking for a dental group and you want it done right and you want to be with people who truly care about you, I completely and wholeheartedly recommend them. It's kind of ironic that I am thinking about this... Because now I can't wait to go back to have my teeth cleaned. And I can say that without fear as well. Call these folks. You'll be glad you did.

This was our first visit, as we're new to the area. Andrea was very welcoming and helpful setting us up for our first exam with Dr. Dev. She thoroughly explained the charges, which I felt were reasonable. Dr. Dev and his assistant kept me comfortable during the exam and a couple fillings I needed. Painless dentist = 5 stars in my book! My husband also had some work done. They employ some new technologies, so I am appreciative of that as well, like different X-ray system and laser cleaning, which we'll get later when we come for cleaning. Despite being down a hygienist, they accommodated us in a timely manner. Very happy with this new dentist!

We are very happy with this dental practice. We moved from Palm Springs to Palm Desert three years ago and transferred all of our medical providers to be closer to our new home but we kept Tahquitz Dental, in spite of the 30-plus minute drive. Dr. Dev and his staff are top notch. We highly recommend them.
Dr Dev and the team has been great. I'm enjoying this place since he's taken over from the previous owner. He's supportive of whatever I need to do and that's incredible considering now everyone is willing to work with the patient. They are all much appreciated.
Dr Dev is a wonderful dentist and a kind and caring person. His expertise was evident as he had to remove a crown that was poorly done years ago and allowed decay beneath it. My new crown is perfect. I recommend him and his office highly.
Glad I chose this office. Dr. Dev has recently acquired this Office and I am not one who enjoys the Dentist visits. Let me start by saying the front office staff was welcoming. I had HIGH ANXIETY sitting in the dentist chair, but let me tell you Dr. Dev and his medical assistant was GREAT with explaining everything being done. I did receive “calming” medication which alleviated my process for the procedures I had done. THANK YOU for such professionalism Dr. Dev and your office staff!!

I have a history of being rather anxious going to the dentist but the staff here always make me feel very comfortable and they are friendly.
